P.S. 58’s educational philosophy is built on the Renzulli School Wide Enrichment model, a systematic plan that infuses enrichment learning into all aspects of the school curriculum. We work toward the development of each child’s talent potentials. By examining each student’s strengths, interests and learning styles, we enhance the regular curriculum and improve student achievement by providing opportunities that promote engagement and enjoyment. We offer students access to stimulating educational experiences in multiple subject areas through trips, guest speakers, performances and special projects for individuals and small groups. This exposure leads to independent and active learning in which students are meaningfully engaged.
